Green Zone
Coming to theaters March 12, 2010, Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass reunite to bring us Green
Zone, an Iraq War thriller.
During the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad in 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) and his
team of Army inspectors were dispatched to find weapons of mass destruction believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert.
Rocketing from one booby-trapped and treacherous site to the next, the men search for deadly chemical agents but stumble instead
upon an elaborate cover-up that inverts the purpose of their mission.
Spun by operatives with intersecting agendas, Miller must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence
hidden on foreign soil for answers that will either clear a rogue regime or escalate a war in an unstable region. And at this
blistering time and in this combustible place, he will find the most elusive weapon of all is the truth.
If you're a fan of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, you'll probably like Green Zone,
as it seems to be shot with the same intense, grainy handheld style that Paul Greengrass has become famous for.

Daniel Radcliffe Films PSA For Gay Suicide Prevention
'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe detests homophobia; the actor says, "I have always
hated anybody who is not tolerant of [the gay community]. Now I am in the very fortunate position where I can actually help."
The Associated Press reports that Radcliffe has filmed a PSA for The Trevor Project, the leading organization focusing on
suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth.
Both of Radcliffe's parents are actors,
and he explains, "I grew up knowing a lot of gay men and it was never something that I even thought twice about – that
some men were gay and some weren't. And then I went to school and (for) the first time ... I came across homophobia. ... I
had never encountered it before. It shocked me." The Trevor Project was founded by three filmmakers
in 1998 after their short film 'Trevor' won an Academy Award. The movie concerned a gay teen who attempts suicide. Radcliffe,
20, says he first became aware of The Trevor Project while he was appearing on Broadway in the 2008 revival of 'Equus.'
"I have described myself as being 'gently eccentric' and slightly different as a person just because I've
had a very different set of influences growing up than anybody else in my peer group did," Radcliffe said. "I've always felt
very lucky to have the life that I've had. I never had to cope with anything serious about my religion or sexual orientation
or anything like that.
"I think it's important for somebody from a big, commercial movie series like 'Harry Potter' and particularly
because I am not gay or bisexual or transgendered. ... The fact that I am straight makes not a difference, but it shows that
straight people are incredibly interested and care a lot about this as well."

Mark Millar Thinks Wanted 2 Can Still Happen Without Jolie
Though Angelina Jolie has a couple options for new projects coming up, one thing that isn't up in the air
is the fact that she's not coming back for Wanted 2. In an interview with STV, Wanted co-creator Mark Millar reveals exactly
why she wasn't too interested in coming back (if you've seen the film, you know it's not exactly easy or believable to bring
her character Fox back for a sequel), but thinks that it wouldn't be all that hard to move ahead with the sequel without Jolie.
However, we're talking about a story that, as Millar puts it, "changes everyday" and will need some re-working to bring in
a new character to fill her vacant spot.
As someone who wasn't exactly enthralled with the first Wanted, I don't have too much of an investment in
actually seeing this come to fruition. When you have a film that ends the way the first one did, you kind of wish it would
just exist as a single entity. However, like Millar says, it makes more sense to bring in a new character to take Jolie's
spot with some plot modifications rather than bringing back that original character. Apparently the film is still supposed
to shoot this year aiming to release sometime in 2011, so we'll see who steps up for the sequel and if it actually comes to
fruition. How many of you out there want a sequel?
